2019 Donington Historic Festival

September 10, 2019

If you’re a regular reader here, you’ll already appreciate the haphazard nature of my posting. Not everything is necessarily in date order and this is one of those events. Right back in May, I spent a day at Donington for the Historic Festival. My main focus was again on my good friends Steve Wright and Ian Clark as they continued to campaign the little red 356 Porsche you’ll recognise from my coverage over the last 3 or 4 years. This was the first outing after a winter of upgrades to both engine and suspension so it was good to see it clinging on round the corners and powering out just as strong. I think there’s one more outing this season which I’m going to try and make it to. As with most of the events with the HSCC they enter in to you can be sure of plenty of other entertaining classes including Classic Jags, Touring cars, ‘Mad Jack’ pre-war beasts to name a few, some of which in the photos below. Hope you enjoy and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram if you want a more up to date glimpse of what I get up to.
