Classic FX

I had the pleasure of being invited to the Classic FX Porsche trimming and restoration workshop to shoot some promotional images for their website and Facebook page. After a meeting to discuss their requirements, I decided to spend a full working weekday there to capture the environment and the magic they work daily on their current projects. The workshop is separated into a trimming and upholstery shop, with the engine and restoration shop next door. Classic Porsche obsessed proprietor Garry Hall is a mechanical and electronic engineer, originally trained in his youth to trim upholstery by an experienced old school trimmer. The tell tail signs of this career history can be seen in his work with the inbuilt perfectionist of an engineers mind working hand in hand with traditional skills and craftsmanship becoming a powerful combination when applied to every aspect of their classic porsche restoration service. Mind blowing attention to detail, fabrics not only sourced but also remanufactured focusing on originality for the interior restoration side of the business, and restored beautifully chromed and refinished fixtures and fittings for the restoration side. Garry’s experience and skills have been passed on to his brilliant team ensuring the high standards are maintained from start to finish.
