What a treat Porsches by the Lake was! Set in the grounds of Little Eastern Manor comprising of not only a Manor House but also and probably fairly obviously, a huge lake too. It was one of those events where it just worked. From arrival, to us getting guided in to our lakeside parking spot the vibe was spot on right till it was time to go. The lakeside parking for visitors in Porsches was full of beautiful examples from the marque through the years, cars worthy of being in the main display area had this not have been full already with the cream of the crop. As we walked round the lake and up the sprawling lawns to the coiffed gardens we were greeted by a 911R and two Carrera GTs. If that wasn’t enough, the centre piece nestled in between smartly trimmed hedges was a 918 Spyder. Pretty Special. Flanked by a row of GT cars this walled garden looked superb in the bright early summer sun. As we continued through to the main courtyard again we were greeted with more eye candy in the form of a line up of more GT and RS cars, a 550 and a pair of 356’s, 914’s and early 911s. Just a superb collection of cars laid out with plenty of space around them so you could really take your time to look, take it all in and get some photos.
