Viva Skegvegas VW Show

In an oversaturated calendar of car shows, Viva Skegvegas is a shining light. Organising power couple Toby and Sally (Walker/Chambers-Walker) and their crew have been hosting the Skegvegas VW show since it first appeared on the scene at a skate park in Skegness. This smaller affair has since grown to the current format housed at the beautiful Revesby Estate in Lincolnshire. Considerably further inland than the first few year’s shows they’ve managed to keep the summer holiday by the sea feels, and the now much larger family friendly event is just a lovely place to spend a weekend. I’m ashamed to admit it, having known them both for a few years now, that due to reasons beyond my control this is the first time I’ve made it to their show! For years I’ve seen social media alive with ‘best show of the year’ comments and do you know what? No fake news here! So how do they do it? Very simply. It’s a car show first and foremost, a few quality stalls and food wagons, swapmeet, car displays and features like the infamous car limbo, all of which are open to all with the coolest trophies on offer from friends and sponsors. Entertainment wise there’s plenty of activities going on all day for kids and big kids, live bands during the day and in the evening keeping the soundtrack to a lovely weekend rolling on.
