Damp with an unexpected shower of Porsche

April 12, 2018

Snetterton like most racetracks in the UK is an open wasteland subjected to whatever weather is on the horizon with nowhere to hide. We sat picnicing in the car on arrival. Perfectly timed for the lunch break as we could only make half a day. I sat eating my sarnie refreshing the ‘Dark Skies’ app on my phone (which usually turns out fairly reliable forecasts) and it said rain stopping in 45 minutes. Almost to the minute the rain stopped just as the afternoon session at the CSCC meeting reassumed for the afternoon races. No sun to break through the fog but brightness of another form which we weren’t expecting. A brace of early Porsche.
