Lee Maynard’s Renault Dauphine

Only 2 days to go before Lee Maynard’s Renault Dauphine is back out on the strip up at Gary’s Picnic at Shakespeare County Raceway. Along with 10 other cars from the Outlaw Flat Four drag racing club, with some European cars also making their way over for the event, it should be a spectacular weekend.

The two HGPCA Nuvolari Trophy races at this year’s Donington Historic Festival were arguably the most entertaining from a spectators view, added rain during the race on Saturday of course added further to the excitement as priceless cars from the era hurtled round the famous circuit celebrating the 80th anniversary of the 1936 Donington Grand […]

DJI Osmo

So I treated myself. After much research into gimbals for SLR’s, iPhones etc. The Osmo from DJi seemed the best option for portability, quality and budget so I took the plunge. I’ve been following it’s progression since its launch last year and after a few firmware issues it seemed it had reached a decent point […]

Duxford -The Return

Last May we invested in an annual pass for Duxford as the American Air Museum Hangar was closed for refurbishment and we hoped to revisit before our year was up. It finally opened just before Easter so we returned to see what was new. Safe to say we weren’t disappointed! The new display is packed […]

Spent a great morning out at Sibson Aerodrome a couple of weeks ago. Rode shotgun in my good friend Steve’s 1930 Model A Ford (more of that to come later). There was a good turnout of cars, and oddly enough, a dog in a handbag. Here’s the link to their Facebook page if you’re a local […]

Ruby

One beautiful dog! This is Ruby, she’s a Vizsla Boxer cross owned by some good friends of mine. I’d seen photos before but not actually met Ruby till last weekend. And what a little stunner she is. I couldn’t resist grabbing my camera when the morning sun lit her her through my window. Dog portraits […]

Porsche Trimmers

Shots from a recent workshop shoot at Classic FX in Surrey. Quality of their workmanship, attention to detail and originality is superb. They even have Porsche Pepita Houndstooth manufactured to 100% match the original fabric and is available to purchase by the metre via their website here. See more from the day’s shoot on the project […]

Inspiration is all around

Literally all around. Standing in a kitchen I had to break out my camera, inspired by the beautiful design of a Joseph Joseph utensil set, to the ultra modern projection of a Bosch dishwasher onto a tiled floor.  Never stop being aware of your surroundings, there’s always something worth looking at twice.

Appuldurcombe House

An empty shell of a grand house built in the 18th Century, damaged by bombing during World War II and never repaired. The interior was stripped and sold leaving this magnificent but sad empty hulk. At present open to the public as an English Heritage site, but was recently for sale as part of the […]

When the fog draws in

Fog is a very special phenomena. Maybe the meteorologists amongst us can predict it’s occurrence but I certainly can’t. When it does though, the chances of me being ready to take full advantage are unfortunately slim. I’m usually in my studio / in traffic / indisposed with some force beyond my control keeping me from going out […]

Seascape updates

New updates on my Isle of Wight Seascape project from the end of this summer. All of my images are for sale as prints or framed ready to hang. I print in house up to 1.5m wide in beautiful HP vivera inks and can advise on the best frame or mounting options to suit your […]

Any Fort in a Storm

A few days spent in one of my favourite places always leads to a a feeling of calm despite the weather. This particular evening was stormy to say the least. Standing on a beach in the pouring rain, low tide. Wrapped up in waterproofs, myself and my camera. Wiping the lens after every shot. Big rain drops, the […]

1964 Le Mans

Just sat down for a coffee break to catch up with some youtube viewing and found this film of the 1964 race at Le Mans. I think at 1.40 into the footage you can just make out the 33 Ben Pon 904 featured in the previous blog post leaving the start. Or is it my […]
